About us

The Centre for Intelligent Information Processing Systems (CIIPS) brings together interdisciplinary and diverse expertise synergistically to address future challenges in intelligent information systems, encompassing hardware-software co-design, nanoscale information systems, signal processing, information engineering, and quantum information processing.

About the role

We are advertising for a one-year Post-Doc position at King’s College London to work with Prof. Osvaldo Simeone on reliable AI, with topics including distributed conformal prediction and Bayesian learning. The post will be based in the King’s Communications, Learning & Information Processing lab, at the Centre for Intelligent Information Processing Systems within the Department of Engineering.

The department is located at the Strand campus of King's, in the centre of London.

The successful candidate should have a PhD in Electrical Engineering and should meet the following criteria:

  • Background in probabilistic machine learning
  • Track record of high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed conferences and journals.

This is a full-time post, and you will be offered a fixed term contract for one year.

About you

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

  • PhD qualified in relevant subject area (or pending results)
  • Effective communication (oral and written) skills, ability to write research reports and papers in a style accessible to academic audiences
  • Track record of high-quality research publications in peer-reviewed conferences and journals
  • Background in communication systems
