Primary Purpose:


  • To assist the leadership and growth, contributing collaboratively to the broader leadership, development and success of the unit. Increase sales to defined outcomes. Maintaining profit margins, increasing head count profitably.
  • This is a hands-on research role, leading from the front, with excellent and proven research skills - track record of working for, and rising up within a pharmaceutical research agency (vital)

Commercial Leadership:


Develop Accounts. Lead the strategic growth agenda for accounts. Identify new growth opportunities. Establish clear targets and objectives to budget, ensure profitable and successful operations. Grow the business through expanding the client base, contributing to the brand and marketing e.g. conferences, PR/content marketing (giving team a reason to talk to clients).


Client Leadership:


Client relationship management. Manage senior level clients. Personally develop relevant senior client relationships that will support both day to day delivery and longer term strategic growth opportunities. Act as a client champion for key accounts, influence delivery and excellence of delivery. Work to agreed growth targets.


People Leadership:


People management & development. Manage and oversee the team, develop personal and team targets and objectives for achievement and contribution to the business. Lead and manage the hiring and retention of the best talent. Develop team to enable them to perform at their best


Operational Leadership:


Operational Excellence. Ensure that the team is operationally efficient and effective and delivers best practice/ excellent customer experience and satisfaction with the work provided (and shared). Ensure all work is correctly monitored, with keen eye for detail and strong client service. Bring ideas and initiatives for how to do things better.


Proven Personal Approach:
