Research Engineer, Modelling Engineer, Statistical Modelling, COR 5441
A Research Engineer with a strong mathematical background is required to join my client, an a pioneering research company based in Oxford!
The Role
As the Research Engineer you will implement optimisation techniques, in order to capture complex, real world issues within our client’s vital forecasting models. Working closely with other areas of the business, the Modelling Engineer will drive forwards software development best practices within the team, with a strong focus on meeting client’s requirements.
The Company
Founded by a group of University of Oxford academics, the Research Engineer will be joining an incredibly exciting research company. Based in central Oxford, their office is easily accessible by public transport. The company have fully embraced flexible working, offering a hybrid working pattern with three days a week in their Oxford office.

What’s Required?
For this Research Engineer position, we’re looking for:
Strong background in mathematics, educated to a degree level within a relevant discipline
Commercial experience with Python development
Ideally experience gained in field of optimisation
Great problem-solving skills and keen team player
