As part of a dynamic global research team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects essential for a data-driven world. We’re looking for a visionary Research Manager to lead the efforts in pushing the boundaries of research and development in this critical area.

The Job:

  • Lead and Motivate: Communicate the local action plan, aligning it with our broader organisational mission and vision. Inspire your team to achieve ambitious business goals through clear direction and leadership.
  • Develop and Nurture Talent: Utilise the formal development framework to assess and address individual development needs within your team. Plan and execute actions to enhance their capabilities, offering training and coaching to elevate performance and unlock personal potential.
  • Drive Innovation: Identify gaps in existing processes, methodologies, and tools within your discipline, proposing and implementing improvements. Your innovative thinking will be key in driving our research forward.
  • Intellectual Property Management: Oversee the filing of Intellectual Property applications, ensuring that our cutting-edge research is protected through patents and other means.
  • Research and Development: Identify new opportunities and conduct innovative scientific experiments and tests. Translate these results into practical applications that can shape the future of data and AI security.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with key stakeholders, understanding their needs and concerns. Facilitate meetings, events, and draft supporting materials to build strong relationships and secure commitment.
  • Problem-Solving Expertise: Navigate complex, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to develop effective solutions. Encourage creative thinking and guide your team through ambiguous situations with clarity and precision.


The Person:

  • Academic Excellence: An advanced degree (PhD preferred) in a relevant field, showcasing your deep understanding of data management, AI, and security.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, both new and existing, through clear and effective communication.
  • R&D Management Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing R&D teams, guiding them towards successful outcomes in challenging and innovative projects.
  • Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge in at least one of the following areas: Data Management, AI, or Security.
  • Project Management: Skilled in facilitating and managing projects, with the ability to motivate and lead teams in the co-creation of Proof-of-Concepts and technological proposals.
  • Research Accomplishments: A strong track record of publishing research papers and filing patents, reflecting your contribution to the academic and industrial research community.
  • Academic Publication: Experience in academic publication, with a history of contributing to leading journals and conferences in your field.
