As a Research Manager in the UK, you will play a critical and valued role in understanding client needs, developing research solutions, and managing projects from start to finish. This role requires previous experience in brand health tracking and a track record of delivering impactful data analysis . As a Research Manager, you will be expected to showcase account ownership and lead our research projects to success.


This hybrid role requires working from our London location to meet the company's needs. You must have the right to work full-time in the UK - we do not offer sponsorships at this time.

The team you are joining:

The team you will be joining is the Hotspex team located in London. Our team prides itself on versatility and a willingness to learn new skills and seek out new information to solve any problems that we encounter. Pulling information from diverse and sometimes surprising sources inspires thinking outside the box. On our team, you will have exposure to improving and implementing new processes and reimagining our methodologies and their applications.


What will I be doing?


As a Research Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Managing brand health tracking projects
  • Understand client business needs and translate them into research solutions.
  • Develop sample plans and costing to support proposals.
  • Determine necessary analytics, develop analysis requirements, and analyze data.
  • Create analysis plans and storylines for internal review.
  • Generate client reports following the Hotspex Way.
  • Take ownership of the research process, championing best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of the research department and overall company direction.
  • Execute multiple projects efficiently, from study design to final presentation.
  • Coordinate project flow with various departments.
  • Ensure fieldwork is completed on time and within budget.
  • Support and guide junior team members through projects.
  • Present simple reports to clients and provide regular project updates.
  • Manage client expectations and inquiries professionally and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely completion of project deliverables and provide expertise on research and analysis decisions.


What do I need to bring with me?


Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in delivering research projects through the entire project cycle, from design to data analysis and reporting
  • Expertise in brand health tracking is essential for this role, along with strong capabilities in account ownership and data analytics
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative research skills and ability to work on projects and day-to-day deliverables
  • Attention to detail, organized and solutions-focused
  • Time management skills, working across multiple projects, prioritizing tasks efficiently
  • Ability to deliver quality work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent analysis and interpretation skills to decode complex qualitative and quantitative data to arrive at clear insights and narratives that aid client decision-making
  • Excellent communication skills – verbal and written with experience in preparing presentations and written reports in English
  • Proven ability to work well in teams
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools – non-negotiable


Desirable :

  • Knowledge of SPSS and other packages
  • Interest in industry development and emerging trends
