We are seeking an experienced Research Manager in Market Research to turn research briefs into impactful insights and develop strong relationships with our clients. Your role will be to lead projects from start to finish, which will involve designing and delivering high-quality, timely insights and becoming a trusted advisor to clients by understanding their business and challenging assumptions when necessary. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a strong track record in managing research projects and proven leadership experience to oversee a team of researchers.What will I be delivering?Client facing : You will work directly with clients to conduct best in class research projects, working with panel survey data and YouGov Syndicated Solutions to build a strong and trusted partnership. You will also contribute to winning proposals and pitches in response to client briefs.Delivering Insights : You will be responsible, with the help of your team members, for creating the most appropriate research approach, implementing it into the field, checking and analyzing data, and presenting key insights to clients.Project management : You will be setting up projects based on identified commercial needs, using YouGov's solutions. You will be using our internal platforms to ensure a fast turnaround on research projects; but also ensure projects run smoothly, and are delivered accurately, on time and within budget.Team Player : You will be working with our Key Account Management team, thinking and implementing strategic plans to ensure client satisfaction and repeat business. You will also have the opportunity to provide input in our internal processes as we are constantly looking to improve our ways of working.Team Management : An essential element of this role will be to manage and mentor a team of research executives, helping them to grow and deliver against personal and team objectives (conducting regular catch-ups, setting objectives, discussing team challenges, project allocation).What do I need to bring with me?Minimum 8 years’ experience in conducting market research projects, ideally gained at a market research agency or a mix of agency and client-side.Proven experience in team management essential.A significant knowledge and understanding of quantitative ad-hoc research techniques with a willingness to upskill on new and developing approaches.Ability to break down briefs to turn them into engaging studies with impactful results.Ability to develop, maintain, and grow client relationships through the delivery of excellent projects.Clear capability in problem-solving, with strong analytical and numerical skills.Ability to deliver results, meet deadlines, and manage time effectively.Proactivity, self-discipline, and a positive attitude.An open and pro-active mindset.Excellent interpersonal skills and IT proficiency, especially MS Office.Excellent organization and communication skills.
