Role Requirements:

We are looking for a Researcher within our highly successful Change practice. This is an exciting role where you will play an essential part in ensuring a high quality of service for our candidates and clients. The focus of this role is supporting the Head of Practice in building and managing the target candidate pool and data and delivering on our clients’ resourcing campaigns.


We are seeking a proactive, engaging and professional self-starter who excels in building relationships, has exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and thrives in a collaborative environment. You will support the Head of Practice on the development of target candidate pipelines and relationships, management of candidates within targeted campaigns and conducting of insightful screening interviews. You will deputise for the Head of Practice across client activity as required when out of office.


Key Responsibilities:

Candidate Assessment & Interviewing:

  • Targeted searches: review applications or headhunt suitable candidates; conduct initial candidate screenings, assessing capabilities, cultural fit, and strategic alignment to ensure they are a perfect fit for our clients' needs; present Head with shortlists and clear summaries, booking interviews with Head once selected to progress
  • Future candidate pipelines: building highly qualified candidate pools and pipelines for future roles against target roles and clients


Candidate Relationship Building:

  • Build long-term, trusted relationships with candidates by delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations
  • Keep close to candidates with regular calls or meetings to identify current and future activity and client/market insights


Project Management:

  • Support the resourcing process, from candidate identification and engagement to placement, with a focus on delivering exceptional results
  • Formatting and uploading CVs to client portals, drafting candidate profile summaries for clients, booking interviews with Head of Change and/or clients, responding to / managing candidates in processes as appropriate
  • Working on multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring flawless coordination with Head of Practice and timely delivery


System Management & Market Insights:

  • Update and maintain accurate records of candidates and client data within the CRM system, ensuring data quality and consistency
  • Through candidate relationships and monitoring of LinkedIn, identify profile job changes and promotions, new jobs posted and client news e.g., corporate restructures, to generate insights to support data-driven decision-making


Internal Projects & Team Collaboration:

  • Engage in internal projects beyond standard search responsibilities, contributing to the firm’s growth and operational success e.g. Change practice webinars
  • Collaborate with team members to foster a positive, engaging workplace culture that drives innovation and excellence


Success & Career Paths:

A successful Researcher career path typically includes opportunities for promotion to a more senior research position consultant, or a Delivery Consultant which has more client contact delivery responsibility across the resourcing process.


Professional & Personal Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree, ideally from a Russell Group university
  • Proven experience in a consulting role or similar field, with a focus on relationship management
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle complex and multiple assignments efficiently
  • Strong research skills and intellectual curiosity are essential
  • Exceptional Communicator: You possess outstanding verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to engage and inspire candidates
  • Meticulous & Detail-Oriented: You maintain exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every aspect of your work meets the highest standards
  • Proactive & Self-Driven: You are a self-starter who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving
