Job Description
Halcyon has championed emerging and established international artists who display exceptional talent, technical skill and intrinsic creativity for over 40 years.
We curate a competitive, annual modern art programme including large-scale public installations and important museum-scale exhibitions within the UK and worldwide.
We are now looking to add further Researchers to our fantastic team.
Title: Researcher
Basis: Full time, Permanent
Location: Central London
Salary: Very competitive
Reports to: Senior Fine Art Researcher
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- In depth research of artworks
- Provenance research, attributions, and bibliography
- Cataloguing, documenting and updating database accordingly
- Writing entries based on specialist research (including provenance, bibliography compilation and illustration lists)
- Working on loan requests
- Working on publication projects
- Proof reading and fact checking
- Archival research
- Provide administrative support to senior staff
- Consult and liaise with experts, curators and institutions internationally to obtain artwork/image/artist information and documents
