Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Researcher to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research, analysing data, and presenting findings to support decision-making, innovation, or academic contributions. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for knowledge discovery. You will have excellent people and project management skills, be self-sufficient and adaptable, and have a high attention to detail.

The team is made up of experienced professionals with strong backgrounds in consultancy, development, asset management, investment, construction, installation and agri-tech. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Design, plan, and execute research projects in alignment with organisational goals or project objectives.
- Gather, analyse, and interpret qualitative and/or quantitative data from a variety of sources.
- Store, manipulate and present data using GIS mapping tools.
- Conduct literature reviews and stay updated on current trends, developments, and advancements in the renewable energy field.
- Develop research methodologies, tools, and frameworks to address specific research questions.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, papers, and presentations to communicate findings and insights effectively.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, or external partners as needed.
- Ensure research processes comply with ethical guidelines and standards.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, improvement, or new research initiatives.
Experience and Personal Attributes:
They are looking for a self-motivated and diligent individual to join their team in Cirencester in this exciting new role.
- Educated to degree level with a demonstrable research component or equivalent experience.
- 2 years’ experience in a numerate or analytical field is advantageous.
- An interest in gathering and validating data and the ability to present information in a clear and coherent manner.
- Attention to detail, good organisational skills and strong motivation are essential.
- An interest in global energy, the world economy and environmental issues.
- Experience of using GIS mapping tools effectively is essential.
- Proven experience in conducting research, with a track record of delivering actionable results.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with proficiency in relevant tools and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write research reports and present findings.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

This is a temporary to permanent, full time position working Monday to Friday between 8.30am to 5.00pm with 30-minute lunch break, based at their head office in Cirencester, Gloucestershire.
They offer a competitive salary (depending on experience) and 25 days holiday plus a day off for your birthday in addition to bank holidays. There is free parking on site.

Basic salary: £25,500.00-£27,000.00 per year
