Our client, a distinguished buyside platform managing $20 billion in AUM, is seeking a visionary Head of Equity Research to spearhead the development of a world-class research team.

Responsibilities of the Role:
- Build and Lead: Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse team of top-tier equity analysts, driving excellence in fundamental research.
- Strategic Integration: Develop and implement a cohesive research framework that integrates seamlessly with the firm’s systematic strategies.
- Collaborate: Work closely with portfolio managers, data scientists, and quantitative researchers to ensure research outputs translate into actionable investment insights.
- Innovate: Identify opportunities to leverage alternative data, AI, and advanced analytics to stay ahead of market trends.
- Represent: Act as the face of the equity research division, liaising with key stakeholders, investors, and industry professionals.
Requirements of the Role:
- 10+ years in equity research, with proven leadership experience in a buyside or sellside environment.
- Deep understanding of equity markets, valuation methods, and industry trends, with the ability to generate high-conviction investment ideas.
- A strategic thinker with a passion for building teams and shaping the future of investment research.
- Familiarity with systematic and data-driven investment approaches is highly desirable.
- Advanced degree in finance, economics, or a related field; CFA designation preferred.
