Publicerad 2024-08-28

Leeds Trinity University has embarked on the delivery of a range of Nursing, Allied Health and Biomedical Science programmes to support local, regional, and national workforce demands. As such, there exists an exciting opportunity located within the growing Faculty of Health, Wellness and Life Sciences to help shape the future nursing and healthcare workforce in Yorkshire. We are proud of our commitment to fostering an inclusive teaching environment and widening access to higher education studies for students from diverse backgrounds. As Programme Leader, you will have a unique opportunity to develop the design, delivery and evaluation of the Children’s nursing curriculum and be involved in teaching across the entire nursing portfolio, enabling our students to have a clear vision of the Future Nurse, contributing to safe person-centred care and to meet the NMC Future Nurse Standards for registration.

You will have significant teaching/practice experience and be able to demonstrate a successful track record of innovative curriculum, teaching, learning and assessment strategies and scholarly/research related activity. You will have a high level of insight into contemporary community, primary, acute, or urgent care practice as well as experience in healthcare leadership, medicines management, clinical skills, simulation, and practice-based education. Knowledge of contemporary theories and concepts that underpin children’s nursing education is essential. You will be committed to co-production in designing and delivering interprofessional education for the benefit of our students, partners, and the public.

You will have demonstrable knowledge, experience and skills within the field of Children’s Nurse education and hold a Postgraduate degree in a related subject area, or equivalent. You will need to be a current registrant (child field) with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) with substantial post qualifying clinical experience.

You will be motivated, pro-active and engage with collaborative working both as a team member and with wider partners. We aim to ensure that we equip our students with the skills necessary to succeed in the workplace upon graduation and throughout their professional careers. As such, we not only focus on the acquisition of caring skills and knowledge, but also on vital transferable skills such as compassionate leadership and robust digital and technology skills.
