Senior Lecturer in Medical Curriculum Development

Join to apply for the Senior Lecturer in Medical Curriculum Development role at St George's, University of London.

We are looking to appoint a clinical academic or healthcare professional with suitable experience to join the Centre for Clinical Education as a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in curriculum development. The role holder will academically lead, plan, and operationalise new teaching and learning projects, specifically working with clinicians on new problem-based learning cases (T year), Canvas and placement introduction teaching in P year. They will also contribute to the maintenance and quality assurance of curriculum content during yearly review. We would like to hear from competent candidates who have experience of working in a busy academic and clinical environment dealing with curriculum and assessment development and who are keen to progress their skills in a university setting.

Key Attributes Of The Successful Applicant Include:

  • Excellent understanding of teaching, active learning, and writing learning outcomes with clinical content. Experience of writing clinical/problem-based learning cases for undergraduate teaching is desirable but training can be provided on the job.
  • An enthusiasm to be involved in curricular change and development.
  • Willingness to engage with the virtual learning environment.
  • Experience of undergraduate education, and willingness to further develop teaching and educational skills as needed to meet the demands of the role.
  • Teamworking, networking and delegation skills.
  • Leadership potential in line with City St George’s values as outlined in the University Strategic plan.
