Senior Research Engineer

Go Tek are currently on the lookout for a talented Senior Research Engineer with experience working with ML and Software Engineering practices for an AI Biotech Start-Up company. They're an AI-generated enzyme design start-up and you'll develop innovative tools and algorithms to drive their enzyme design platform forward.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with developing and benchmarking predictive methods for protein design.
• Enable the development of protein design leveraging ML/AI and physics-based methods.
• Enable the development of a resilient, model-agnostic platform and its continuous evolution, by following coding standards, best practices, and benchmarking processes.

Required Experience:

• A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science or related areas.
• Experience with AI protein design, protein structure and property prediction methods.
• Advanced software engineering skills and CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with further experience in scientific computing libraries such as NumPy, SciPy and Polars.
• Familiarity with either AWS or GCP as well as Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform.
