Senior ML Researcher - upto-£200,000 plus upto 30% bonus – London, United Kingdom (hybrid)A successful and growing advanced sports analytics and trading start-up is looking for a Senior ML Researcher to join its expanding strategy and trading team.
As a Machine Learning Researcher, you will:
Work closely with the CEO, CTO, and Team Lead to design, test, and implement new machine learning models in PythonEngage in all aspects of the R&D process—from high-level design through to production implementation
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic startup environment and enjoys contributing to the full lifecycle of machine learning model development.
Design and develop new machine learning models in PythonConduct research on cutting-edge models, leveraging academic papers and new ideas
Be highly creative, generating new approaches to problem-solvingHave strong autonomy in researching the best methods for tackling complex challengesDemonstrate a strong mathematical understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning and statistics
Experience across a broad range of Machine Learning and StatisticsProficiency in Python and experience with ML software frameworksPassion for learning new skills and techniques, comfortable with academic research
Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Maths, Statistics, or Machine LearningSoftware development experienceExpertise in Python/Numpy/Cython execution speed optimization techniquesFamiliarity with Unix scripting and version control tools like Git
