Senior Student Administrator (Postgraduate Research Programmes - MRes and PhD)
A new opportunity has arisen within the Department of Bioengineering for a Student Administrator (Research Programmes - MRes and PhD) This role will provide support to all of our students, but with a particular focus on MRes and PhD students. The post-holder will provide a high level of customer service to students at every stage of the student journey and will contribute to the delivery of an excellent student experience.
As part of a team of twelve, the Student Administrator provides vital front-line support to our students and behind the scenes support for our academic staff. The whole team, including this role, are expected to be able to work across our undergraduate (MEng), postgraduate (MSc and MRes) and research degrees (PhD), providing support to each other as necessary, including at key times in the academic year. This role ensures that our postgraduate student admissions and programmes run smoothly and are an enjoyable experience for all.
The post would suit an organised, motivated and enthusiastic individual with outstanding people and communication skills. You should be highly organised with a methodical approach to your responsibilities and attention to detail. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be able to work well under pressure, prioritise workflow independently and show initiative. You should also be tactful and diplomatic, have an understanding approach to the needs of students in the department and be able to deal with confidential matters with complete discretion.
