Attention to detail is essential to this role, along with data analysis skills, and good record keeping. The position is a lab-based role, demanding an enthusiastic and proactive mindset, along with a demonstrable ability to troubleshoot and optimise methods. The successful candidate will be given required training to meet the ever-changing demands of the role.
Primary responsibilities
• Support the team in conducting protein and cell-based functional assays using techniques such as gene reporter assays, FRET, FP, ELISA, etc.
• Use these protein and cell-based assays to screen small molecules, biologics and new therapeutic modalities.
• Use liquid handling robotics and screening assay equipment.
• Use data capture and analysis systems.
• Analyse data using curve fitting and statistical software.
• Interpret and summarise results for presentation at project meetings.
• Produce detailed experimental write-ups and assist in producing guidelines and reports.
• Embrace teamwork and collaboration.
• Trained in good sterile technique, tissue culture, and in performing cell-based assays.
