What you will do:

  • Collaborate with product, strategy, and UX teams to outline research plans, execute research, consolidate findings, and present actionable insights.
  • Define and execute the user research program for partner tools, using a variety of methods including field studies, lab testing, card sorting, remote testing, surveys, and more.
  • Provide insights on requirements definition, content strategy, wireframes, visual and interaction design.
  • Carry out both evaluative and generative research, executing the best methods to answer research questions and prioritizing them according to schedule and opportunity constraints.
  • Independently conduct research projects to ensure quality of user research within your area(s) of focus.
  • Communicate research findings into a concise, meaningful story for design and product teams.
  • Present your methods and rationale to peers, team partners, product partners and UX leadership.
  • Estimate work effort and define what you need to deliver.
  • Manage multiple projects, balancing agility with deep investigations.
  • Facilitate collaboration with different stakeholders to develop effective solutions to customer needs and pain points.
  • Act as an advocate in a team applying user-centered design methodologies to develop new products or enhance existing ones.


Who you are:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience, with proven success working with product teams and UX designers on software interfaces.
  • Degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Human Factors, Psychology, Social Sciences, Cognitive Psychology or similar areas. Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) is a plus, or equivalent related professional experience.
  • Deep practical experience with qualitative research methods and strong understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Sophisticated ability to articulate and visualize results.
  • Experience working firsthand with UX design and software product teams.
  • Ability to plan and lead generative research to define new design concepts.
  • Proficiency in developing creative, flexible, and rapid approaches to user experience problems.
  • Strong organizational skills, able to act independently and switch quickly between different projects.
  • Ability to multi-task across in-house projects and studies, and work with outside vendors where required to conduct research.
  • A thirst for constant growth and improvement, both for yourself and our products.
  • Able to moderate or field research studies, analyze data, report on research, and design research studies independently.
