Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
Hourly Rate: £28.20 - £32.10 per hour plus holiday pay (depending on qualifications)
About the Role:
Peterborough College is seeking a skilled and motivated Welding Lecturer to provide temporary sickness cover within our Further Education (FE) department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced welder looking to step into teaching or for an established educator to continue making an impact in the vocational sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality welding instruction to FE students.
- Provide practical and theoretical training in line with course objectives.
- Support students in developing industry-standard welding skills.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure a safe and supportive learning environment.
Candidate Requirements:
- Proven experience in welding (essential).
- Teaching qualification desirable but not essential.
- If no teaching qualification, a willingness to work towards one.
- Candidates holding a teaching qualification will be eligible for the higher pay rate.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to supporting student success.
