The Deggendorf Institute of Technology (DIT) offers modern Bachelor and Master courses in the following fields of study:

Over 500 highly qualified personnel and lecturers support the 5000 students in 5 faculties, a generous staff-to-student ratio. The campus is comfortably compact, with labs, lecture halls, library, cafeteria and canteen in close proximity to each other: everything is a stone´s throw away, meaning that staff and students mingle and get to know each other on campus.
Three pillars form the foundation of the Deggendorf Institute of Technology: practice-orientated teaching, Research and Development of future technologies and postgraduate training while on the job.
The university was awarded with the title of "Technische Hochschule“ in 2013, and all courses are accredited and comply with national and international standards. A special focus lies on internationality. The DIT has 133 partner universities worldwide and English courses are very popular. Beyond that, the university supports its students with many different facilities, such as the International Office, the Career Service, Little Ducks Child Care Centre, student associations and an extensive sports programme.

In the core area of Research and Development, DIT maintains its own Institute of Applied Research (IAF). It focuses and coordinates all activites and is a magnet for companies, lecturers, scientists, doctoral candidates and outstanding students. At eight DIT technology and health campuses, experts develope application-oriented solutions together with with companies.
Further education and professional development training are also a huge priority. The Further Education Centre offers many diverse courses, such as Business Management, Nursing Education, Entrepreneurship and Public Management, aimed at busy career-orientated professionals who want to academically improve themselves whilst working on the job.
