Since 1990 Fraunhofer UMSICHT Institute Branch Sulzbach-Rosenberg (former ATZ Entwicklungszentrum) develops concepts and processes which directly relate to the economy in order to allocate and make an efficient use of energy, raw materials and materials. Within the Center of Energy Storage the focus lies on integrated and decentralized conversion and storage of energy.
The institute accompanies clients from the development of processes up to the pilot plant, and from the development of a product up to its pilot production. Our main interest is to reach efficient and integrated examination of processes.
Fraunhofer UMSICHT Institute Branch Sulzbach-Rosenberg is a research institute located in the region of the metropolis Nuremberg. It reaches an annual turnover of 5,7 million € and employs 100 staff members, most of them with an engineering background.
