Niedersächsische Technische Hochschule & Technischen Universität Clausthal

Successful science depends on debate and efficient networking. To actively influence and advance both academic teaching and research, it is essential to share knowledge and collaborate. One crucial step towards building a university of the future is the cooperation between several institutions for greater effectiveness and more success.

In the German state of Niedersachsen, we have understood that this is the way of the future. The Technische Universität Braunschweig, Clausthal University of Technology, and Leibniz Universität Hannover have therefore formed an alliance, collaborating under the name Niedersächsische Technische Hochschule (NTH) – Niedersachsen Institutes of Technology. According to the motto "cooperation not competition", the three universities are now coordinating their course planning and development for the natural and engineering sciences, thus combining their existing strengths to enhance efficiency in research and teaching.

This makes NTH one of the largest centres of academic research and education for the so-called MINT subjects (mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and engineering) among German universities.

 
Technischen Universität Clausthal

Under the umbrella of the international Center Clausthal (IZC), the International Office and the Language Center of Clausthal University of Technology work together on the internationalization of studies and teaching.

We are responsible for the international cooperation projects of Clausthal University of Technology. In this context, we take care of delegations, represent the University at international trade fairs and develop the network of partnerships. We are also responsible for the programme of language courses and are developing it further with respect to the increasing demand for additional language qualifications. Furthermore, the IZC advises the President's Office of Clausthal University of Technology on all issues of internationalization.
