Telemark University College
Telemark University College (TUC), (Høgskolen i Telemark or HiT in Norwegian) is a state university college and has approximately 6 500 students.TUC is a not for profit organisation based in the South-East part of Norway.TUC has campuses in Bø, Notodden, Porsgrunn, at Rauland and in Drammen, and offers one of the broadest spectrum of academic opportunities in the country
Programmes are offered at bachelor's, master's and Ph.D-level. The three pillars of the TUC activities are education, research and disseminationTUC's main ambition is to be granted full university accreditation before 2016. This will add to the wealth of academic and research opportunities in Telemark.TUC’s highest decision-making body is the Board, where the Rector is the chairman.
The Rector is also the university college’s academic leader. The University College Director is the highest administrative officer, who is also responsible for the university college’s economic dispositions.TUC consists of 8 different faculties and administrative departments
