ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences
The ZHAW Zurich University of Applied Sciences is one of the leading universities of applied sciences in Switzerland. Teaching, research, continuing education, consulting and other services are both scientifically based and practice-oriented. The eight Schools of the ZHAW cover a broad range of subjects: Architecture, Design and Civil Engineering, Health Professions, Applied Linguistics, Life Sciences and Facility Management, Applied Psychology, Social Work, Engineering, and Management and Law. About 11,100 students are enrolled in 26 Bachelor’s and 13 Master’s degree programmes.
The ZHAW also offers a wide variety of continuing education programmes in many areas and thus serves as a partner for life-long learning. There are some 40 Master of Advanced Studies programmes, over 150 Diploma and Certificate programmes and various continuing education courses.
The ZHAW is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in Switzerland and thus offers a wide range of specialist knowledge. All of its Schools carry out disciplinary and interdisciplinary research. The results of ZHAW research projects are both scientifically sound and practice-relevant.
All of the ZHAW campuses – in Winterthur, Zurich and Wädenswil – are located in the Greater Zurich Area, which is economically strong and well connected by public transport. The campuses offer a study and work environment with excellent quality of life.
