About the role

THe GDip Habilitation Team aims to provide professional, evidence-based, standardised and effective Habilitation Provision to trainee Habilitation Assistants and trainee Habilitation Specialists undertaking the programme.

You will

  • Plan, assess and deliver practical skills content to trainee habilitation students in accordance with the Quality Standards for Habilitation Provision
  • Undertake environmental audits and risk assessments to promote safe and effective teaching and learning on and off campus
  • Contribute to and support programme development for online, offline and connected learning
  • Achieve continuous service improvement and quality control in accordance with Habilitation VIUK Professional Standards Framework
  • This post is to cover for a period of Maternity Leave and is funded from 1 September to 28 March in the first instance. This post is FTE 

    About you

    You will hold a Graduate Diploma in Habilitation and Disabilities of Sight (Children and Young People) or equivalent and be a registered Practicing Member of Habilitiation VI UK.

    Experience of assessing and moderating student work through observation and standardised measures is desirable.

    An Enhanced DBS is essential for this post.
