  • Your main responsibility will be the preparation, teaching, administration, and assessment of the Level 5 Psychological and Developmental Issues in Childhood module from the BA Psychology for Education.

    The module explores the potential impact of a range of developmental disorders, psychological disorders, and adverse experiences on children’s lives and on their education. It is a popular option which has been running successfully for a number of years and offers you the opportunity to bring your knowledge, expertise and teaching experience to enable these committed students to complete their studies successfully. 

    Classes are scheduled for Monday evenings, starting on Monday, 2nd October 2023, from - for 10 meetings. Coursework for this module will be submitted in January 2024.

    We are looking for a committed professional with:

  • A degree in Psychology.
  • A good understanding of childhood experience and mental health.
  • Relevant teaching experience, working with adult students within the HE sector.
  • A good understanding of the needs of part-time adult learners and be able to relate well to their individual needs and engage their interest and enthusiasm.
  • Demonstrably effective and engaging communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and independently as appropriate.
  • Willing to engage in reflective practice.
  • PLEASE NOTE candidates need to demonstrate competence or significant potential in ALL areas.

    Also desirable are the following:

  • Postgraduate degree/s in a relevant area
  • Professional experience in Educational/Developmental/Clinical Psychology and/or working with children in a mental health context
  • A teaching qualification
  • Remuneration
