This is an exciting opportunity to join the School as a Senior Lecturer within Primary Care, joining a supportive and friendly academic team. The role requires an motivated, committed and student-focused individual who is keen to play a key role in the provision of high-quality, evidence-informed teaching. Main duties & responsibilities The Senior Lecturer (Primary Care) will provide high-quality academic input in relation to the planning, teaching, assessing and evaluation of programmes of study at postgraduate level (MSc-including apprenticeship), and contribute to our continuing professional development portfolio.You will also take on Module Leadership. Skills and experience needed You will have experience of teaching and supporting SCPHN students and knowledge of current NMC requirements and standards of proficiency. You will be able to demonstrate evidence of teamwork and working autonomously as well as having excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience of successful partnership working with practice partners and students would be desirable, as would be working in the field of School Nursing. Qualifications required You must be an NMC registered nurse and NMC registered Specialist Community Public Health Nurse in either health visiting or school nursing. You will hold an honours degree in a relevant subject. In addition, you will hold a master’s degree or a Level 7 qualification such as a Post Graduate Diploma. Doctoral study would be desirable.A teaching qualification or willingness to work towards this is essential. In the course of our work and University-led activities, there may be external or other contractual obligations where a further Enhanced Check is required.
