We're looking for a Knowledge & Information Services Business Researcher to join our team at Burges Salmon, working on a hybrid basis from our Bristol office. In this role you will gather, organise, and deliver critical information on clients, prospects, and industry sectors, empowering our legal teams to excel. 

Please note we are recruiting for this role on a part-time basis (21 hours per week). 

What you'll be doing:

  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to produce up-to-date reports on clients, potential clients, and target sectors.
  • Generate competitive intelligence reports for benchmarking purposes.
  • Forge strong connections with legal and business development teams to enhance the utilization of business information services.
  • Proactively evaluate and recommend enhancements to our business research processes and end-user deliverables.
  • Collaborate with the Knowledge and Information Services (KIS) team to raise awareness among lawyers about business information resources through engaging presentations.

  • Proven ability to distill complex information from diverse sources into clear, concise reports.
  • Proficiency in information acquisition techniques, including adept use of online resources.
  • A solid understanding of business environments and corporate structures.
  • Discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • A meticulous approach to tasks, with an eye for detail.
  • Resilience under pressure and adept at prioritizing tasks.
  • A collaborative spirit, ready to work as part of a dedicated team.
