About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Business Lecturer to join our team at a reputable further education college in Romford. As a Business Lecturer, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students by delivering high-quality education and fostering a passion for business studies.
Responsibilities:
- Course Delivery: Design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons for the BTEC Business Course. Cover a range of topics including business management, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.
- Assessment and Feedback: Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and practical assessments. Provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
- Curriculum Development: Contribute to the development and enhancement of the business curriculum. Stay updated with industry trends and incorporate real-world examples into teaching materials.
- Student Support: Mentor and guide students, offering academic and pastoral support. Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and professional development.
- Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment. Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
- Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) to enhance teaching skills and stay informed about educational advancements.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: A relevant degree in Business, Management, or a related field. A teaching qualification (PGCE or equivalent) is desirable.
- Experience: Previous experience teaching business-related subjects at further education level. Industry experience is advantageous.
- Passion: A genuine passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
