A prestigious Further Education College in Cambridge is seeking a Carpentry Lecturer to join its permanent team starting January 2025.
Key Responsibilities
- Teaching and Learning: Deliver engaging carpentry lessons, which may include evenings or weekends, ensuring alignment with awarding body standards. Prepare teaching materials, Schemes of Work, and complete administrative tasks.
- Tutorial Support: Serve as a course tutor, track and record student progress, provide feedback to students, parents, and employers, and support work placement programs.
- Recruitment and Admissions: Assist in the recruitment and admission of students and represent the College at promotional events.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, contribute to curriculum development, participate in course reviews, and liaise with external bodies.
- Professional Development: Build industry connections, engage in personal research, and adhere to College policies.
- Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
This role requires an enhanced DBS check. The College provides support for obtaining teaching qualifications if not already held.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
