A prestigious Further Education College in Cambridge is seeking a Carpentry Lecturer to join its permanent team starting January 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teaching and Learning: Deliver engaging carpentry lessons, which may include evenings or weekends, ensuring alignment with awarding body standards. Prepare teaching materials, Schemes of Work, and complete administrative tasks.
  • Tutorial Support: Serve as a course tutor, track and record student progress, provide feedback to students, parents, and employers, and support work placement programs.
  • Recruitment and Admissions: Assist in the recruitment and admission of students and represent the College at promotional events.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, contribute to curriculum development, participate in course reviews, and liaise with external bodies.
  • Professional Development: Build industry connections, engage in personal research, and adhere to College policies.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

This role requires an enhanced DBS check. The College provides support for obtaining teaching qualifications if not already held.
