Roles and Responsibilities:
Teach across all levels and abilities - GCSE, A-Level and B-TECH To assist and support colleagues in the department who may not be Chemistry specialists To identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in their own subject and help to encourage best practice through support, advice and CDP opportunities. To oversee the teaching of Chemistry throughout the school and the implementation of the curriculum To seek opportunities for pupils to engage in activities with other schools, competitions and challenges in Chemistry supporting both pupil enhancement and raising of school profile To raise the profile of Chemistry across the school Make sure that the classroom is a stimulating environment that facilitates learning Generate enthusiasm for the subject being taught and inspire all students to work to their potential Skills & experience
Appropriate degree, with UK PGCE, or other teaching qualification giving QTS Familiarity with the national curriculum of England (Plus IGCSE/GCSE and/or A Levels as appropriate) Passion for teaching and commitment to educating a child A high level of professionalism and consideration of the well-being of children Recent and consistent involvement in extracurricular activities Respect for all members of a school community, irrespective of position, gender, age and ethnic background A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check (for applicants who have never worked in UK) and no question regarding suitability to work with children If you are interested in working in the Chemistry lecturing field in the West London area, please apply to this advert with a CV today and a consultant will contact you!
