Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry - UOD1588

We are recruiting for an outstanding individual to join us as Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Dentistry. We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified individual to provide teaching in Paediatric Dentistry to undergraduate (BDS and BSc) and potentially postgraduate students, to conduct research in a relevant discipline area, in paediatric dentistry. The post-holder will also contribute to the growth and development of teaching and research activity in Paediatric Dentistry in the School of Dentistry.


Key priorities will include:



  • Perform teaching duties in relation to clinical and didactic teaching of undergraduate (BDS and BSc) and potentially postgraduate students in Paediatric Dentistry

  • Develop and provide chairside and clinical skills teaching and supervision in Paediatric Dentistry

  • Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, tutorials and examinations for undergraduate and postgraduate students, including both in-person and online formats

  • Collaborate with colleagues both within and outside the School of Dentistry in developing research activities and collaborations, as well as develop own research profile and undertake research leading to high quality REF-returnable publications


Who we're looking for:



  • BDS or equivalent * Full registration with the GDC

  • At least 2 years' experience in general/community practice, hospital service or equivalent

  • Masters qualification in a relevant specialty area (desirable)
