Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Research Assistant to join the Clinical Genetics Research team at St George's Hospital. The post holder will be part of a research team responsible for the day to day delivery of a portfolio of genetics research studies and trials.

The role involves supporting research practitioners, nurses and principal investigators in the administration of studies within the clinical genetics speciality. The role will also include identifying and supporting recruitment of patients into clinical studies, collecting and handling large data sets, and resolving queries.

Computer literacy, excellent communication and organisational skills are paramount and post holder will be expected to work in a proactive and organised manner. Confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail are fundamental for this position.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will need to provide assistance in all aspects of administration of clinical research delivery and carry out allocated tasks that are related to the day to day running of clinical trials.

The post holder must also be willing to move to different clinical specialties where the need to do so is identified.
