Job Title: Course Leader and Lecturer in Plumbing
Department: Building Services Digital Engineering & Business
Salary: £37,194-£39,718 Plus substantial market supplement for an outstanding candidate

Are you a qualified Lecturer in Building Services looking to join a vibrant, forward-looking College that is the first choice for both learners and employers? We are seeking to appoint a course leader to take responsibility for the delivery and development of our building services programmes. 

Working with the staff in your delivery team, under the management of the Curriculum Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring annual key performance indicators are achieved consistently across your designated curriculum area.

As the Course Leader and Lecturer for our Plumbing, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure successful learner outcomes and to maximise each student's potential to progress to their chosen career path.

Key Responsibilities

- Teach and mentor students and apprentices on level 1-3 plumbing programs
- Implement effective feedback and assessment systems to track learning progress and adapt teaching methods as needed
- Lead the team in maintaining outstanding quality assurance in assessments and qualifications
- Oversee course and learner registrations and qualification claims
- Contribute to curriculum innovation, development, and implementation
- Create initial assessments, assessment schedules, and IV plans
- Foster a professional learning environment and uphold the college’s behaviour management processes
- Stay current with industry standards through CPD, scholarship activity, and relevant training
- Collaborate with exams and MIS teams for planning and delivery

Requirements:

  • Possess a minimum of a relevant Level 3 vocational qualification
  • Possess a qualification in Maths and English levels 4 – 9(GCSE Grades A-C) or equivalent
  • Track record of successful teaching experience across a range of levels including up to level 3
  • Recent industry-related experience relevant to the academic discipline
  • Detailed knowledge of relevant course subject matter and examination and assessment requirements
