Digital and Computing Lecturer

South Staffordshire college are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic teacher of Digital and IT curriculum, to deliver our level 5 Diploma in Web Application Development, in partnership with Code Institute.

Candidates should be innovative and experienced in a wide range of digital computing skills and practices, which should include the use of creative software, and programming languages such as C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & Python. In addition an invested interest towards new and immerging Digital and IT Sector opportunities.

Candidates must have appropriate skills and knowledge in Full Stack development, to include User Centric Frontend Development / Interactive Frontend Development / practical skills to build a Back-End web application / Full Stack Frameworks with Django.

Candidates will need to be flexible in supporting learners and it would be beneficial if candidates have experience delivering content remotely.

This is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher to help play a vital role in building digital skills, from those requiring basic digital skills to ensure no one is digitally disadvantaged, to those requiring more advanced skills, generating the developers and users of digital technology and the digital economy into the future.

The successful applicant will have a degree in Digital / IT Computing or relevant industry experience, a full teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) together with significant experience of teaching and have or be prepared to undertake IQA qualification.  (D34 (D32/33).

Interviews are anticipated to take place on Monday 19th August 2024 (Via TEAMS).
