Salary: £33,487.00 - £39,941.00 per annum

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring Teacher of English who is passionate about learning and teaching English at GCSE and Functional Skills Level 2. Experience of teaching ESOL is desirable but not essential.

About Us: We have a passionate and experienced Maths and English Team providing vital learning to our students. We are committed to delivering a consistent and high-quality learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach a range of students to develop their English skills and qualifications.
  • Liaise closely with curriculum teams to ensure effective and timely student progress.
  • Counsel students and maintain positive behaviours.
  • Participate in curriculum development to meet changing demands and college planning.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent).
  • Hold or be willing to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent.
  • Commitment to, and evidence of, CPD.
  • Own transport is essential.
  • Ability to teach Functional Skills Level 2.
  • Experience of teaching ESOL is desirable, although not essential.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead on developing, planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality, motivational, and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Evidence of ability to motivate students and improve student satisfaction.
