We are seeking a talented individual to join our Equity Manager Research team at Mercer. This role will be based in London . This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Equity Manager Researcher will work within the equity manager research team in Mercer’s London office. You will actively contribute to the equity manager research effort, meeting with asset managers and providing views on their investment capabilities.

We are looking for someone with proven equity manager research experience to join our dynamic global research group.

We will rely on you to:

  • Co-ordinate with external investment management firms to undertake research on specific investment strategies
  • With the support of other members of the team, conduct due diligence meetings with investment management firms
  • Compose research documents outlining the strengths and weaknesses of a strategy and make recommendations based on research findings
  • Support views and recommendations with quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Collaborate with colleagues, challenging and working together to reach conclusions and meet client requirements
  • Represent the manager research process and investment recommendations internally and externally
  • Contribute to ad hoc equity related research projects and generally, assist the equity manager research team in achieving its objectives.

  • Experience within equity manager research
  • Strong written and oral communication, liaising at all levels
  • Strong technical skills and an understanding of statistical models.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisational skills with a great work ethic.
     
  • What makes you stand out:

  • Coding ability / experience
  • Experience of meeting with quant fund managers as well as fundamental managers
  • Have report writing experience, which has included providing views on the investment capabilities of fund managers
