Role: Researcher (Manchester)

Department: Sales

Employment Type: Part time 2 - 3 month

Freddie’s Flowers was founded by Freddie Garland in October 2014 with the aim of changing people’s relationships with flowers in an ethical, and sustainable way. We want to challenge the view that flowers are just for special occasions, and so we offer a completely different experience to other flower businesses.

Our direct-to-consumer subscription model has been hugely successful in the UK and Germany. We secured significant investment and backing from The Craftory, a purpose-led global investment house, and are about to undertake a new spurt of growth and expansion.

So come and help us spread the joy of flowers to everyone in a fun, fast-paced and collaborative working environment!

About the Role: This is a flexible part-time position, perfect if you're between jobs or saving for travel. You'll be exploring one of the biggest untapped sales potentials in the UK. While our Direct Sales team in the South accounts for nearly half of all UK acquisitions, Manchester remains an untouched city full of opportunities. You'll scout out areas for us to sell, such as markets, events, and pop-ups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a detailed map of Manchester, identifying prime locations for sales activities.
  • Research and find the best markets and events in Manchester and across the North.
  • Identify and list markets and events our sales teams can attend.
  • Determine costs and dates for these opportunities.
  • Identify strategic locations for our sales bikes.
  • Assist in finding locations for sales training.
  • Support recruitment efforts by identifying potential venues and opportunities.

Measures of Success:

  • Development of a comprehensive sales calendar.
  • Compilation of a list of markets and events, with associated costs and dates.
  • Identification of 10+ prime locations for sales activities.
  • Successful identification of bike locations.

Requirements

About You:

  • Good local knowledge of Manchester.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Highly organised and reliable.
  • Some experience in events or direct sales (nice to have).

Benefits

What We Offer:

  • Flexible working hours (2-3 days a week, open to discussion).
  • Combination WFH + in the office
  • Competitive hourly rate of £15, paid weekly.
  • Opportunity to develop into long term role
