We are typically engaged to fill board, c-suite, and other high impact senior-level roles. THE POSITION

This position is a critical role in the executive search process. Working in close partnership with Consultants & Principals on each assignment, you will help to identify, attract, develop and assess leaders, while building a deep understanding of the landscape of their respective sector (companies, sub-sectors, products, geographies, etc.).


Candidate development: you will be responsible for identifying, referencing and developing the most talented executives for consideration by our clients, using our database, proactive research resources, sourcing calls and in-person meetings. You will be tenacious and highly driven to continually deliver fresh research and candidate pipeline on all searches.


Client interaction: Unlike in larger Search firms, you will have client exposure and help manage and advise clients through regular updates, providing them with market feedback and insights, as well as candidates’ motivations, strengths and development needs.


Project Management: ideal candidates for the role include those with strong business acumen, intellect, judgement and communication/advisory skills. You work on multiple client engagements, drawing on project management ability, proactive and quality search execution, an ownership mentality, and strong, team-oriented delivery to meet specific client needs.


Sector knowledge: Yo will ideally have a background in retained search in the GTM & Tech space.


Responsibilities

  • Actively stay up-to-date on the tech marketplace on a global scale, understanding trends (past, present and future) enabling MontaRosa to better perform for clients and talent.
  • Perform name generation and proactive candidate identification for search mandates through sourcing, Internet search techniques and databases such as LinkedIn, Capital IQ and other research tools.
  • Call and recruit executives for our positions mandated by clients. These executives will be in direct contact with the Associate and we expect stellar talent management for short and long-term talent management.
  • Conduct telephone, zoom or in-person candidate interviews with full written assessments as the outcome of these conversations.
  • Schedule interviews for themselves, other search partners at MontaRosa, and clients.
  • Referrals and sources gathering – including staying in touch with helpful sources to build relationships for the long-term.
  • Manage and update database with outstanding content which will help to drive business and talent needs forward.
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of delivering impactful and well-written emails, draft assessments and reports to Principals, Partners or Managing Directors.
  • Proven first-class project management skills; confident multi-tasking on multiple client assignments while providing quality execution and on-time delivery for every client.
  • Provide stellar client service, driving the execution of searches through to completion with pace and enthusiasm.
  • Gather and document detailed compensation information on candidates, and deliver compensation market feedback to clients when needed.
  • Play an active role in talent management projects for our clients and on behalf of MontaRosa.


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree (or equivelant) required.
  • Knowledge of FinTech or Tech is a must.
  • Previously you would have worked in a retained search envronment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to contact a volume of passive candidates and develop them into active, interested and qualified candidates for specific search mandates.
  • Ability to build rapport with candidates and clients.
  • Good executive presence with instant credibility and gravitas.
  • Structured approach to problem solving and organising search and research mapping projects.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and delegate when necessary.
  • Ability to lead by example and mentor junior members of the team.
  • Driven, with a sense of urgency.
  • Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Strong database management skills and an understanding of the importance of maintaining excellent candidate records on behalf of the firm.
  • Globally astute and proven ability to effectively work across time zones with the team, candidates and clients.

  • Ability to attend in-person meetings and light travel.
  • Strong knowledge of LinkedIn, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manipulate and quickly learn databases and online research tools.
  • Excellent administrative skills with a passion for detail and an understanding of the value of quality documentation and database management.
  • Capable of distilling large pieces of information into a summarised format for quick learnings across the firm.
