Evolve Academy are a fantastic trend driven training provider working within the Greater Manchester region. Delivering Apprenticeships and Adult Skills programmes.

We are looking for a Hairdressing trainer/assessor.

You will be responsible for a caseload of learners delivering from our academy in Manchester's city centre 5 days a week

Job Summary

Deliver, Train and Assess forward thinking and inspirational programs to a caseload of aspiring Hairdressing learners

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for planning and delivering inspirational programmes of learning, enabling learners to develop their knowledge and practical skills so that they can demonstrate their competence within the standard/framework..
  • To deliver underpinning knowledge require as part of learning programmes
  • To carry out regular learner reviews to maintain ESFA compliance and to ensure that learners complete their learning programme on or before the planned funding end date.
  • To regularly review and update as required data to ensure it is timely and accurate.
  • To report/support all withdrawals to Management as soon as possible to ensure support can be put in place.
  • To carry out any administrative work associated with the learning programmes, such as completing learner documentation that is required as part of funding compliance.
  • To ensure that monthly targets are achieved.
  • Maintain regular contact with learners and employers on all programs
  • To provide support to learners in group settings..
  • To perform such other duties as reasonably correspond to the general character of the post and are commensurate with its level of responsibility.

  • To undertake risk assessments and comply with the risk management audit requirements.
  • Be committed to personal professional/vocational development and participate in the appraisal process and training and development activities as required.
  • To undertake such other duties that may be reasonably required by the Managing Director and Management
  • Hairdressing Level 2 & 3
  • A relevant assessing qualification (A1, D32/D33, TAQA)
  • A teaching qualification (PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS, PGCE, CertEd)
  • English and maths to a level 2 or a willingness to work towards
