Position Overview: Our client is seeking a talented Cyber Security Hardware Engineer to join our team and contribute to low technological-readiness projects for the MoD. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining hardware security solutions to safeguard vital defence systems against cyber threats.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop secure hardware components and systems for defense applications. Conduct thorough threat analysis and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies. Design and implement cryptographic algorithms and protocols to ensure data confidentiality and integrity. Evaluate and integrate security features into hardware designs, including secure boot mechanisms, access controls, and intrusion detection systems. Perform security testing and validation of hardware components to ensure compliance with industry standards and government regulations. Provide technical expertise and guidance on cybersecurity best practices to project teams and stakeholders. Stay current with emerging threats and technologies in the cybersecurity field and propose innovative solutions to address evolving challenges. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Solid understanding of hardware and related security principles Familiarity with security standards and protocols Cross-disciplinary understanding of complex systems and the interplay between HW, SW and embedded layers Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Benefits:
