HE Lecturer - Mechanical Engineering
Temporary, full-time position.
South Yorkshire based college.
£30-£33 per hour + statutory holiday pay.
The post holder will assume responsibility for teaching and the provision of personal academic support to students across the Engineering suite of programmes. The role will involve working collaboratively across departments to develop innovative and creative approaches towards learning and teaching and new opportunities.
The role will involve working within a small team, liaison with external examiners and implementing quality assurance processes to ensure the policies and procedures are effectively adhered to. The teaching responsibilities for the post will include modules within the range of Mechanical, Electrical, ‘General’ and Manufacturing Engineering programmes, including at Levels 4 and 5.
We are looking for candidates with the following:
Degree/Level 6 Qualification within an Engineering disciplineFirst aid and an SIA licence/experience is desirable but not essential.
Experience of or ability to demonstrate understanding of teaching and supporting undergraduate students.
Relevant subject knowledge located in both theory and practice.
- Hold a DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
