This ranges from sharing ourresearch on portfolio construction, markets and manager selection, todrawing on the full breadth of the firms capabilities to create andmanage investment solutions tailored to each clients specific goals.A critical component of that research is asset allocation research,which informs how we position portfolios across various asset classes.This research spans systematic and fundamental, short-term andlong-term, broad-based and client-specific. Given the critical natureof this research, we are seeking a Lead Researcher in Asset Allocationto help support this effort. The successful individual will need to beable to facilitate a team based process that drives asset allocationpositions in our portfolios. This will involve undertaking researchacross multiple disciplines and asset classes to fit into a multiasset framework. This individual will also need to ensure thatresearch is both robust and pragmatic, translating into investableviews and insights for use in client portfolios. The role will bebased in either Boston or London.<br><br>We run both Strategic(Solution Design and Client Advisory) and Tactical (Active AssetAllocation and Active Risk Control) research agendas across ourMulti-Asset Platform (MAP). The expectation is that the focus for thisindividual will be primarily on the tactical research, though abroader skill set would be an advantage. Importantly, the focus willbe on applied research in order to drive positions in clientportfolios. All processes are hybrid in nature, meaning positionsreflect a blend of quantitative and fundamental research. Thisnecessitates a senior researcher who ideally has experience with bothresearch disciplines, and with combining the two. Given the relativeexperience and depth of our research team, strength in fundamentalmulti asset research is marginally more important.<br><br>RESPONSIBILITIES<br><br>* Facilitating a team-based processthat drives the asset allocation positions in our portfolios;<br>Helping to generate asset class views through quantitative andfundamental research, in partnership with the Head of Research and theteam, drawing upon both systematic and fundamental inputs;<br>Providing input into the research agenda for the team, balancing adesire to continuously raise the level of foundational assetallocation research with the ability to apply this research for thebenefit of the firms clients;<br>* Forming a close partnershipwith our portfolio management team, our Head of active assetallocation research, other researchers and team members;<br>Maintaining a connection to client trends and challenges, so that theresearch agenda encapsulates the questions of the future.<br><br>QUALIFICATIONS<br><br>The successful candidate is likely tohave:<br><br> A strong academic background, ideally including apost graduate degree or relevant professional qualification,( e.g.CFA);<br>* A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience ininvestment research, strategy, economics, capital markets or anotherrelated field. Portfolio management experience would be helpful;<br>* Demonstrable experience in generating deep, differentiatedresearch insights that impact client portfolios. This requiresexcellent domain knowledge across multiple asset classes, globalmarkets and economies, and their drivers. Equity market expertise ispreferred;<br>* Curiosity and enthusiasm for markets and investing;<br>* Strong analytical skills - excellent data collection andanalysis skills;<br>* Coding proficiency (python) or a desire toquickly gain coding skills;<br>* Self-sufficiency in deliveringrelevant market based asset allocation research;<br>* A provenability to deliver and execute research processes to a high standard,within deadlines, and in coordination with others;<br>* Experiencein systematic, fundamental, or hybrid approaches to market research;<br>* A collaborative mindset, and the ability to partner withcolleagues across the team and the firm globally;<br>* Strongwritten and verbal communication skills, with the ability tocommunicate deep research findings effectively to internalstakeholders (e.g. PMs, researchers, and other investors).<br><br>Please note that we are only able to respond to successfulapplicants.<br><br>Not sure you meet 100% of our qualifications?Thats ok.
