Lecturer GCSE English
GCSE English Lecturer. Part Time. 14.8 hours per week. Fixed Term. September 2024 - June 2025.
An opportunity has arisen to work within the Maths and English Cross College team (REEM). The team is responsible for delivering GCSE Maths and English to learners from all Curriculum Areas across the college as part of our learners' full-time programme of study.
We are looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Lecturer who can deliver high quality teaching and learning to meet the diverse needs of our 16-18-year-old learners in GCSE English.
Applicants will hold the following:
- A full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above (or be willing to work towards obtaining one). If you do not hold a suitable teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain this as part of our investment in your professional development.
- Qualified in Vocational area to Level 6 minimum or equivalent.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in maths and English.
You will be expected to adapt lesson plans to meet individual learner needs and deliver innovative lessons that motivate and enthuse learners who may have previously struggled with English in school. You will routinely monitor learner progress and set individualised targets to ensure learners are developing their knowledge and skills.
You will have a flexible attitude to working to fit the requirements of the department.
