LECTURER – HAIRDRESSING (Lewes)
Description
Part time, 15 hours per week, permanent post
Up to £39,808 p.a. (pro rata for part time).
We have an opportunity for a qualified and experienced hairdresser / hairdressing lecturer to join our Hair & Beauty team at the Lewes campus.
This role would suit either an established lecturer or an industry specialist looking to get into teaching. We also have a Barbering lecturer role available if the candidate has experience in both Hair and Barbering and wants a larger role.
The post holder will be required to deliver practical and theory lessons and monitor students’ progress as part of the tutoring role.
Applicants should have a good range of experience and qualifications within the hairdressing industry and will be required have the following:
·Hairdressing qualification at Level 3 and above
·Teaching qualification - not essential but desirable
·Assessors award - not essential / highly desirable
·Excellent knowledge of the hairdressing industry and working within industry
·An effective communicator
·Self-motivated and well organised
·Commitment to further professional development
