The vacancy

DN Colleges are recruiting a Lecturer specialising in the Science of Health and Social Care. This is a full time, permanent vacancy based in Doncaster College.

As a Lecturer in Health & Social Care (Science), you will be responsible for delivering programmes of learning (GCSE Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Science in T Level Health) to an assigned caseload of students. DN Colleges provide the resources and guidance needed to create and deliver engaging learning programmes, incorporating new technologies and ensuring effective methods of assessment, feedback and classroom management through our internal programme (LET’S Teach).

Alongside your teaching responsibilities, you are responsible for the inputting and maintenance of accurate student progress records and be able to report on such data to management where required. You will support the Curriculum Lead and wider team in developing course content and methods of delivery.

The successful candidate must hold a minimum level 4 qualification in a relevant specialism alongside having a GCSE in both Maths and English. The ideal candidate will be experienced in teaching science exam-based qualifications, and ideally have experience working in a Health & Social Care setting, or be experienced in delivering NCFE/ CACHE qualifications. You must maintain current knowledge on your specialism, and links with the industry to remain an expert in your area.
