Description
Temp Cover, 37 hours per week To contribute to the Department's aim to provide high-quality teaching, learning & assessment and assist in the development, organisation and delivery of the curriculum area of the Department. To plan, deliver and evaluate creative and innovative teaching, learning and assessment for levels 1,2 & 3 including classroom/workshop theory and practical teaching in Hospitality and Tourism specialising in Catering.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver high standards of teaching and learning and to monitor assessment processes in accordance with awarding body requirements.
  • To deliver departmental requirements of core and additional programmes including functional skills, work skills and tutoring.
  • To deliver on Level 1, 2, 3, T Level and HE programmes as required by the demands of the curriculum.
  • Producing sequencing documents and schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
  • To coordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students' learning carried out by the course team.
  • To communicate external examination entry and timetable arrangements to the course team and students.
  • To work proactively to forward the success and vision of the department and the College.
  • Experience of working in the catering and hospitality industry with in-depth knowledge of culinary, front-of-house and events.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • Qualified to at least a level 3 standard in a Culinary discipline or relevant industry experience
  • GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above
  • Food safety level 3
