Role Title: Lecturer in Animal Care (Foundation Learning)

Location: Northop

Contract Type: Fixed Term (June 2025), Part Time (0.4595 FTE, 17 hours per week)

Salary: £30,620 - £47,331 (Pro Rata) (this is the full time salary, salary will be pro rata depending on working pattern) Upper pay range points UP2 and UP3 are subject to evidence of previous progression to Upper Pay Spine

Coleg Cambria are looking for a Lecturer in Animal Care to join the Foundation Learning team at Northop.

As a Lecturer in Animal Care you will be responsible for delivering courses from Entry to Level 1 and will guide and support learners with a positive and professional manner. We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate a passion for the subject and be able to keep up to date with the latest developments within the subject area.

Essential Requirements

  • Qualified to a minimum of degree Level 4 in a professionally relevant subject

  • A minimum of a Level 5 teaching qualification (e.g Cert Ed/PGCE) or be working towards a Level 5 teaching qualification.

  • Previous experience of delivering Animal Care in an FE environment

  • Knowledge of the broad range of learning needs and how to support these needs within a learning environment

  • Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
