About the role:

Are you passionate about teaching and have a strong background in business? We are currently seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Business Lecturer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate students aged 16 and above in the exciting field of land-based industries. This includes diverse subjects such as Agriculture, Equine, Animal Studies, Conservation and Horticulture. The Land Based industries have high proportions of small and micro employers and self-employment and we need to educate the next generation in these vital skills so they can succeed and thrive in the chosen career. 

You will deliver high-quality lectures and practical sessions on business topics related to land-based industries, such as agricultural business management, sustainable practices, and rural enterprise development, along with designing and developing engaging lesson plans, curse materials and assessments to facilitate student learning and achievement. You will provide support, guidance and feedback to nature students academic and professional growth.

Furthermore, you will continue to stay updated with industry trends, advancements and regulatory changes to ensure the curriculum remains relevant and current, and you will collaborate with FE colleagues to enhance the overall learning experience whilst contributing to the continuous improvement of the department.

It is essential that you hold an appropriate qualification in English and a GCSE in Maths at level C or above, and it will also be advantageous to have a proven teaching background with post-16 resit students.
