Responsibilities

as our Lecturer in Business will include:
  • To contribute to the development and delivery of all our Business courses
  • To contribute to high-quality learning experiences using a variety of teaching and learning methods based on current best-available practices, including Internal verification.
  • To create an outstanding student experience which leads to progression or employment
  • To provide academic and pastoral support to students in accordance with agreed procedures
  • To participate in the Colleges appraisal process and to undertake any training that may be appropriate.
  • To provide student progress reports for parents/carers and employers as appropriate
  • As our Lecturer in Business , youll ideally have:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths
  • Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
  • Graduate in relevant subject area
  • Minimum Level 3 or Graduate in the relevant subject area, such as L3 BTEC Business/ BA in Business
  • Vocational expertise within Business, Finance and Marketing
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of requirements of examining bodies such as Edexcel (Pearsons) and City & Guilds for L1-L3 Business courses
  • Communication skills including written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Focused on team working
  • The ability to teach students of all ages
  • Proven ability to plan and organize own workload
