The University of Reading is a leading institution for research into Biomedical sciences. Underpinning this, the School of Biological Sciences investigates a range of subjects, from haemostasis and cardiovascular disease to cancer, endocrinology, developmental biology, neurobiology and microbiology. Research outcomes are applied to real world problems, influencing the public, media, government and industry. As well as offering a range of successful undergraduate degree programmes, we deliver postgraduate taught research, and support a vibrant body of post-graduate research students. The School occupies state of the art facilities, including a new Health & Life Sciences building which facilitates our research and teaching.


The Division of Biomedical Sciences seeks to appoint a highly motivated and successful Cancer Biologist working on cancer cell signalling or cell biology, who will contribute to research and teaching.


You will have:

  • A PhD or DPhil in a relevant discipline.
  • A track record of high-quality research in the area of cancer cell signalling or cell biology, leading to publications in international peer-reviewed journals.
  • A willingness and ability to teach effectively.
